In April 2025, Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy launched the Pathways to Equity Scholarship with funding from Future Ready Oregon. The program was created to support people already serving our region and help reduce barriers for those pursuing careers in healthcare.

The program concluded in June 2026, with results worth celebrating.

A total of 39 students received scholarships, including six NBHCP employees who balanced their education with their work at the health center.

‍

Of the 39 scholarship recipients, 23 have already completed their healthcare education or training programs. The remaining recipients are continuing to work toward completion.

‍

The Future Ready Oregon grant administrator also recognized NBHCP’s work to strengthen healthcare access in a rural community and the measurable outcomes achieved through the program.

‍

NBHCP is proud to have supported these students as they prepare for careers serving patients and communities. Their accomplishments represent an important investment in the future of the regional healthcare workforce.
