Meet Anita Jenkins, DNP, FNP-BC

Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy is pleased to welcome Anita Jenkins, DNP, FNP-BC, to our Primary Care team. Anita is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and will begin seeing patients August 17.

‍

Anita provides care for patients across the lifespan, including routine and preventive care, sick visits, management of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and treatment for common illnesses and injuries.

‍

She brings 10 years of experience as a registered nurse in stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics and behavioral health. Anita completed her undergraduate nursing education at Excelsior College and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Baylor University.

‍

Anita believes good care begins with listening. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, lifestyle and health goals and values clear, straightforward communication so patients feel informed and involved in their care.

‍

Outside of work, Anita enjoys birdwatching, crocheting and spending time with her husband and children.

‍
