Fresh Produce Returns to NBHCP

Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy is once again partnering with Moon River Farm to provide patients with fresh, locally grown produce.
Bags of seasonal vegetables will be available at the health center every Wednesday for 18 weeks, while supplies last. Patients may pick up a bag at the front desk.
The produce is provided through a Community Supported Agriculture program, commonly known as a CSA. Through a CSA, community members commit to receiving a share of a farm’s seasonal harvest. This support helps local farms plan ahead and grow food for the communities they serve.
Moon River Farm is located in the Nehalem River Valley. Community members can also visit the farmstand behind Wolf Moon Bakery in Nehalem on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. or find Moon River Farm at the Manzanita Farmers Market on Fridays. SNAP customers receive a 66% discount on produce purchased at the farmstand.
Access to fresh, nutrient-rich food is one more way NBHCP supports the health and well-being of our patients and community.
