Many of our patients have reached out with questions, concerns, and personal stories about what acupuncture care means to them. We heard you, and we want to respond directly.

Dr. Monte Gores, who provided acupuncture services to our patients for many years, has departed NBHCP. We are grateful for the dedicated care he provided and wish him well.

His departure prompted a careful organizational review. As a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a rural community, we are responsible for evaluating the long-term financial sustainability of every service we provide. That review took time, and we understand that the uncertainty was frustrating.

Our mission is defined by the community we serve, and your voices are part of how we make decisions. After evaluating both the operational data and community need, the NBHCP Board of Directors confirmed that acupuncture will remain part of our care offerings.

We are currently completing the onboarding and credentialing process for a new acupuncture provider. A final start date has not yet been confirmed, but we will share more information as soon as the details are finalized.

As with all programs, we will continue to monitor the sustainability of acupuncture services as part of our broader commitment to the health center’s long-term stability.
