Position Overview
Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy, located on the beautiful North Oregon Coast, has an immediate opening for a full-time or part-time Family Nurse Practitioner.

The Family Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care and is committed to upholding the mission of the clinic, achieving patient clinical measures, and contributing to the wellness of the broader community.
Duties
- Provide quality patient care, including care for adolescents and youth at a school-based health center.
- Establish treatment plans for patients and counsel patients accordingly.
- Achieve clinical performance measures for clinic patients assigned to the provider panel.
- Achieve clinic productivity goals.
- Participate in medical record audits, peer review, clinical data review, and other practice review activities.
- Participate in the after-hours call rotation with other providers.
- Participate on clinic committees, as appropriate.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement activities.
- Participate in student training opportunities.
- Provide nursing practice perspective related to billing procedures and productivity, as needed.
- Comply with all clinic policies and procedures.
- Assist in community public relations functions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Attributes
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of preventive medicine.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to nursing, medicine, and HHS/HRSA regulations.
- Knowledge of the structure and operations of community health centers.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, patients, and community members.
- Active listener interested in being part of a collaborative and patient-centered team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.

Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing from an appropriately accredited college or university.
- Current license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon.
- Current DEA registration.
- Ability to become a Drug Addiction Treatment Act waivered practitioner to treat opioid use disorder.
- Experience providing patient care to adolescents and youth.
- Experience working with electronic medical record software.
- CPR certification.

- Hepatitis B.
- COVID-19 immunization as required by the State of Oregon for healthcare workers.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking as predominant daily positions.
- Bending, stooping, lifting, and positioning while performing duties within clinic practice.
- Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous chemicals.
- Use of sight, auditory, tactile, and olfactory senses.
- Operating technical equipment.
- Computer screen, mouse, and keyboard usage.
- Telephone usage.
